Virtual Reality (VR) in Education
Hello y'all!
Since this VR stuff is so popular nowadays, lets talk about it. Virtual Reality (VR) simply refers to being inside a real life simulation with these cool glass things, and being able to interact with this simulation. Well okay, i am not very good at explaining things like that but you get the idea I guess.
The thing is, I've watched some people playing video games through VR and it looks super fun to be honest. As I love the idea of playing video games, being inside one must feel amazing. I've also had an opportunity to experience of watchin videos with cheap VR. Not much but it was still fun.

Well, it's sad because the video above it is only in Turkish with no subtitles for Turkish but this video is a good example of video games which are played in VR.
But why should we use that technology in education, in our classrooms?
The thing is, all children love playing games to some extent. Some may not like the idea of video games but all children play, it is in their nature, it is the way they learn. So, I believe there is not just one way to use this technology in language learning. As a student who mostly learned English through video games, I think students (especially young students) are tend to learn best while they are playing. They can improve their vocabulary, their listening and reading skills, and following these their effort to understand the language in order to complete these exciting tasks in VR video games increases(and they become more focused on the language itself).
That's all for today, see you later in another post!
